Guests Welcome

The guest room furniture arrived and dad helped me put it together. This is the first furniture I have ever bought.....because I'm great at saying YES to hand-me-downs!

Oh and I got a new rug for the craft room!

Dirt Pile

Today at 7am a dump truck arrived and unloaded 6 cubic yards of dirt into my back yard. Lula thought I had bought her the best new toy ever and has had 3 partial baths today.

More walls, More paint

While the dogs were playing outside I painted 2 more rooms. There are 2 walls in each room that are the same color (we will call that color "nude" because its real name is terrible) and 2 walls in each room that are different colors. The green is called "misted fern" and the blue is called "silvery blue". I tried to make a drawing of which walls are what colors but it got too complicated so you will just have to come visit and check it out. Clearly I have a lot more decorating to do besides painting the walls. Buying a bed for the guest room would probably be a good place to start!

The office / craft room / 3rd bedroom (this is the room that use to be all panelling which is now painted panelling!)

This is the guest room / dog room / my clothing closet room (this is the room that used to have pink flooral wall paper and pink shag carpet).

The dogs of my life

This past week (and the week to come) I have been dog sitting for Easton and Mollie as well as Zeus. The chaos of 4 big dog is fun, most of the time, and overwhelming, sometimes. Really all I can say is Blessed Be the Fence!

4 types of food, 4 different preparations, 4 hungry mouths

The morning walk

Mollie hiding from the chaos of Lula and Easton

Dirty dirty dirty dogs

Can you see how much "FUN" is caked onto these paws and snouts?

While Mollie regulated the puppies outside, Zeus became king of my bed.

Thud

I turned the projects down a notch this week because I fell off my bike and bruised (maybe broke) my tailbone. I don't recommend this injury because it really does hurt and it moved even when you sneeze. My best friends have been ice packs and ibuprophen this week. Despite the injuries dad helped move a few plants, the dirt pit (aka where the concrete was removed) was rototilled, shelves went up, and a few little re-arrangements occurred in the house.

Stay tuned from pictures this weekend. I'm thinking about putting my first holes into the freshly painted walls to hang some pictures.
